Common troubleshooting
Data looks old or incomplete
Weather and ocean providers update on different schedules. Pull to refresh or reopen the affected screen. Temporary upstream outages can also cause a field to remain unavailable until its source recovers.
Widgets are not updating
iOS controls widget refresh timing. Open the main app to refresh the selected beach, then allow the widget time to update. Background App Refresh should remain enabled for the best experience.
Surf, tides, or ocean safety differs from another source
Forecast models, buoy observations, tide stations, and local beach guidance may use different observation points and update times. Always follow posted lifeguard flags, local officials, and National Weather Service warnings for safety decisions.
Beach Cam
Live video depends on the camera, encoder, internet connection, and streaming platform. A temporary outage does not necessarily indicate a problem with the app.
